Super Heated Power Washing vs Cold Pressure Washing.
What is the Difference? Power washing and pressure washing are both effective methods of cleaning outdoor surfaces, but they differ in the type of equipment used and the temperature of the water. Pressure washing uses a high-pressure water stream to remove dirt and grime from surfaces. The equipment typically consists of a motorized pump that pressurizes water and a wand or spray gun that directs the stream of water onto the surface being cleaned. Pressure washing is commonly done with cold water. Power washing, on the other hand, utilizes a similar motorized pump but delivers hot water at high pressure to the surface being cleaned. The hot water is more effective in removing stubborn dirt, grease, and oil stains, as the heat helps to break down the bonds between the dirt and the surface. Power washing is typically more effective than pressure washing for heavy-duty cleaning tasks. In summary, pressure washing uses high-pressure cold water to clean surfaces, while power washing utilizes high-pressure hot water for more effective cleaning of tougher grime and stains.
Although pressure washing can be an effective way to clean outdoor surfaces, there are also some negative aspects to consider:
- Surface Damage: The high-pressure water stream used in pressure washing can cause damage to some surfaces, particularly softer materials such as wood or stucco. If the pressure is too high or the nozzle is too close to the surface, it can strip away paint, leave marks, or even cause permanent damage.
- Water Waste: Pressure washing uses a significant amount of water, which can be wasteful if not properly managed. Additionally, the water and detergents used in pressure washing can end up contaminating nearby water sources if not contained properly.
- Uneven Cleaning: Pressure washing is not always effective at removing certain types of stains or dirt and can result in uneven cleaning if not done correctly.
